0% Porosity - Smooth Surface
Porosity - Pores in Core
Porosity is a measure of the number of minute spaces or holes through which liquid or air may pass. High porosity leads to water absorption and reduced strength.
To test for Porosity, we cut High Alumina Balls of Hira and another brand with the same chemical composition in half. Hira Ceramic Balls have a smooth surface while the other brand balls have pores in the center. Hira achieves 0% porosity by providing uniform heat to the grinding media so that it reaches the core of the balls.
What are the benefits of 0% porosity?
Purity Grinding with
AL9 & AHP
Hira's AHP and AL9 balls boast an impressive alumina content of over 99% purity, making them exceptionally resistant to wear and tear. The superior durability of our grinding media ensures consistently fine results, allowing for efficient processing while minimizing contamination risks. Designed specifically for purity grinding, these balls are perfect for use in the pharmaceutical and food industries, where product integrity is of utmost importance.
